Balladeers New CD To Be
Released July 2000

"Reflections" is the title of our new CD. The album features several Celtic and American Folk classics in addition to Civil War favorites. We've also included a number of nineteenth century poems. The combined effect of the music and poetic verse are expressions of love, deep moral conviction, humor, snapshots of war, political sentiments, emotional release, feelings of solidarity, a yearning for peace and American nationalism.

The songs we've included are Lincoln & Liberty (Liberty Ball), Home Sweet Home, Let Us Cross Over The River, Boys Of The Irish Brigade, Fields Of Athenry, Step It Out Mary, Peggy Gordon, My Heart's In Cape Breton Tonight, Medley of Reels, Lorena & Nearer My God To Thee.

Song "Let Us Cross
Over The River" Honors
Stonewall Jackson

One of the prettiest songs featured in the long-running musical "Stonewall Country" by Robin and Linda Williams. The song is one of the tracks on our new CD "Reflections". The song recaps the death of Jackson who died at a rail- road junction in Caroline County, Virginia on May 10,1863. Jackson's last words were; "Let us cross over the river and rest under the shade of the trees".
